The Dahme Cycle Path connects the city of Berlin with popular attractions in the southern outskirts of Berlin. It follows the course of the river Dahme and starts in Berlin-Köpenick, where the Dahme flows into the Spree. Along the river you can find many places of interest such as the radio town of Königs Wusterhausen and the town of Dahme. The Dahme Cycle Path crosses the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park, the Golßener Land region and ends at the source of the river near Kolpien.

Start: Berlin Köpenick / Finish: Drahnsdorf (about 100 kilometres - and another 25 kilometres to the source) 

Logo/route sign: green-blue meandering river with the name “DahmeRadweg” underneath it

How to get there: Take the RE3 from Berlin central station to Berlin Südkreuz. From here, take the S46 and S47 regional train to Spindlersfeld (about 45 minutes).

Return journey: From Drahnsdorf take the RE5 (Rostock) to Berlin central station (about 1.5 hours). If you continue for another 25 kilometres to the source you would need to take the same route back.

Trail conditions/surface: The route takes you along cycle roads and designated cycle paths, over asphalted roads and side roads as well as paved farm tracks and forest paths. It is mostly paved and very suitable for cyclists. The Dahme Cycle Path is marked throughout with cycle path signs and the Dahme Cycle Path logo.
