Mochgraben is part of the Teupitz Waters – a chain of lakes connected by canals and well-stocked with fish, especially whitefish, zander and eel. Apart from Lake Teupitz, Lake Schwerin and Lake Zemminsee, all the lakes in the chain are located in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. The Teupitz Waters are part of the federal waterway and can be navigated by motor boats. The shores of the lakes are characterised by pine forests, areas of sandy dry grassland and mixed deciduous forests. The waters are naturally cloudy with visibility below 50 centimetres. Mochgraben is the connection between Lake Zemminsee and Lake Schwerin.
