Starting at the train station in Bestensee, the circular hiking trail leads around both Pätzer lakes. There are several places to stop for refreshments along the hiking trail, so that you can take a good break. There are dining options in Bestensee, Pätz and in the Hintersiedlung in Bestensee. The tour first leads through the town of Bestensee before turning into the forest. Past the well-known bathing area at Vordersee, you then cross the small village of Pätz. The Pätzer Hintersee is reached through the Liepegrund. The path leads through forests and meadows through nature and only occasionally offers a view of the water. After a short stretch on the Hofjagdweg, the hiking trail turns parallel to the regional railway line towards Hintersiedlung. The path along the bank is particularly beautiful here. Through the Bestenseer Vordersiedlung and Klein Besten you return to the start and finish.
