Enjoy the special charm of the diverse landscape of the Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park with its extensive heathlands, sessile oak forests, meadow orchards, moors and ponds. The “Forsthaus Prösa” nature reserve is particularly impressive. A former military training area has left behind an open landscape. Purple heathland is flourishing where tanks used to roll.

This is connected to the largest meadow orchard area in Brandenburg around the municipality of Hohenleipisch and the village of Döllingen. A pomological demonstration and teaching garden in Döllingen passes on knowledge about old, rare fruit varieties. Old industrial monuments, mills and potteries along the route complete the experience on this bicycle tour.

  • Train: Take the RE3 (Elsterwerda-Biehla) regional express train from Berlin to Bad Liebenwerda (about 2 hours)
  • Car: Take the A13 motorway and B87 from Berlin to Bad Liebenwerda (about 2 hours)

Route: Bad Liebenwerda, Maasdorf, Prestewitz, Rothstein, Domsdorf, Tröbitz, Schadewitz, Lindena, Doberlug-Kirchhain, Lugau, Oppelhain, Hohenleipisch, Döllingen, Kahla-Siedlung, Kraupa, Dobra
