The "lying Eiffel Tower of Lusatia" provides exciting insights into mining history and uplifting views over the Lusatian Lakeland. Weighing 11,000 tons, 80 meters high, 200 meters wide and half a kilometer long, a giant rests in the south of Brandenburg. The structure sits majestically in the heath landscape near Lichterfeld. The former overburden conveyor bridge F60 is undoubtedly the most spectacular relic of opencast lignite mining in Lusatia. Every day, mine guides invite visitors to take insightful tours of the industrial giant. You climb to a height of 74 meters and experience not only a fascinating insight into the world of coal mining, but also, on a clear day, a view that stretches far across the region to Saxon Switzerland. And the bravest don't descend. They abseil down. On the F60, history becomes a tangible adventure. An unforgettable experience is the F60 Dinner at a lofty height of 60 meters.
