A true oasis for those seeking relaxation opens up just three kilometres northeast of Falkenberg/Elster, surrounded by fields, meadows and forests. Bathing in a bathing area, some sections with and some without lifeguards, taking boat trips, sunbathing and playing, cycling and skating, searching and finding your way through the maze and staying overnight in your own tent or in a comfortable bungalow are possible in the Kiebitz local recreation area, which is a municipal facility. Lake Kiebitzer See, a body of water created through gravel extraction has excellent water quality. A large festival is held at the bathing area on the first weekend of August every year.
