Blankensee village church originally dates back to the 14th century. Inconspicuous from the outside, treasures from the Baroque and Renaissance periods are on view inside: the Baroque pulpit altar (1706), the Venetian baptismal font (first half of the 11th century), epitaphs and gravestones, a Renaissance mural with a - not fully preserved - depiction of Esther before Ahasver.

Opening hours
The church is part of the “Open Churches” initiative. In summer, it is open from May 1 until harvest festival on Sundays for around 30 afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
