The village church in Pechüle has special significance in the local region: The Romanesque church nave is the region’s oldest brick church, originating from the thirteenth century. The church tower was built in the fourteenth century, while the upper sections and the bell tower are not thought to have been built until the fifteenth century. The foundations and the bell tower were constructed with fieldstone as is typical in the region, while the walls are made of brick. The furnishings for the church were produced in Zinna Monastery and have been well-maintained. An elongated panel painting from the fourteenth century, known as the Bohemian Panel and depicting the Passion of Christ, is of great significance in art history.
