The Galloway cattle farm at the Landhotel Löwenbruch countryside hotel was founded in 1993. The exclusive Galloway beef is soft and tender with a game-like flavour that you can enjoy from October to May by ordering at the farm shop. The summer is barbecue season, meaning the focus shifts to grilled food and various types of Galloway sausage plus beef salami. The cows are slaughtered three weeks before the collection date to ensure that this gourmet meat is perfectly matured.

The Galloway farm has been part of the project ‘Open farms in the Nuthe-Nieplitz region’ since 2009. This collaboration provides guests with lots of information on regional production, and products including honey, pumpkin-seed products, jams and fruit spreads, milled products and other delicious foods from the local region all come directly onto the plate at the Landrestaurant Löwenbruch country restaurant. The transparent production offers visitors a view behind the scenes, especially on Open Farm Day in the Nuthe-Nieplitz region, which is always on the first Sunday in May and November.
