Backschweintenne is a place for celebrations of all kinds and for cosy get-togethers. And of course: pork from the stone oven. Once a month, you can enjoy the speciality of the house, the eponymous “Backschwein” (roast pork) at a roast pork evening. The threshing barn is also open for country outings and Open Farms Day. The threshing barn can also be rented for private and company celebrations for up to 50 persons. A rustic atmosphere is guaranteed: The barn made of wooden beams, masonry, clay walls and floors has been divided up into manageable rooms, partitioned into smaller areas and decorated with antique utilitarian objects. There is a covered Russian terrace with a beautiful view of meadows and trees, a dance floor and a small stage. Every third Friday in the month, there is delicious roast pork TO GO with “Schlachtekraut” (a kind of sauerkraut) and bread or crackers.

Bernd Schulz’s free-range pigs are no less famous that their owner. When the Brandenburg organic farmer moves to Siberia in 2006 with his wife and his animals,a film crew followed him. The 37 Grad report "To Russia with 86 pigs" has since been seen by millions of people. After returning to Brandenburg and Gömnigk, a district of Brück, Bernd Schulz continued to keep organic, free-range pigs.

At the beginning of 2019, Bernd Schulz handed the free-range farm over to two young farmers, Anja Koch and Johannes Alt. The now run the pig farm and the farm shop under the name "Fläminger Weideschwein". At the Backschwein-Tenne, the pasture pigs become roast pork.
