The Kunstwanderweg (art hiking trail) connects the town of Bad Belzig with the municipality of Wiesenburg, combining the experience of art objects that are well worth seeing with the Hohe Fläming landscape. Along the way, there are 28 art objects that punctuate the gentle landscape of forests and meadows like landmarks. All of the artworks, with lovely names like "Unter Kiefern" (Under Pines) and "Ein Wasserfall für den Fläming" (A Waterfall for Fläming), refer to the location and were selected as part of a competition. The trail also passes the Saxon posting milestone in Bad Belzig, a witness to the time when the most northerly border of Saxony passed through here. The magnificent Wiesenburg Castle and Eisenhardt Castle were intended to secure the border against attackers from Magdeburg and Brandenburg. When Wiesenburg Castle was converted to its current form and the landscape park was developed in the 19th century, the most important park between Potsdam Sanssouci and Wörlitzer Park was created.

The Internationale Kunstwanderweg (international art hiking trail) can also be walked as a point-to-point hike along the 19 kilometre north route or the 16 kilometre south route between Wiesenburg and Bad Belzig. Otherwise, Bad Belzig (18 kilometre long east route) and Wiesenburg (20 kilometre long west route) each serve as start and finish points for a circular hike. You can download the entire course of the hiking trail as a GPX file, including interconnections, if you want to shorten the circular tour.

Discovering new worlds with augmented reality on the XR Art Trail – In the Hoher Fläming region, a new world of experience has been created on the International Art Trail through digital art with augmented reality technology. With the help of an app, digital works of art are inserted into the real environment and made visible on an end device such as a smartphone or tablet. On the ten-kilometer southern route of the International Art Trail between Klein Glien and Wiesenburg, five international artists have created augmented reality artworks. And there's more: six existing artworks have been equipped with 3D animations of the artists – so-called avatars – who personally introduce their works to hikers. Artworks and avatars can now be discovered, admired and experienced along the way.
