The network of paths through the wilderness area leads along sandy paths through typical pine forests, heathland, past forest fires and newly emerging wilderness. Everything is changing here. The tour leads across a former military training area. Enter at your own risk. Outside the demilitarized paths, there is danger from old ordnance and buildings in danger of collapsing.

Start: Bardenitz/ Pechüle

Destination: Parking lot on the L 80 near Frankenförde

Arrival/ Departure:

By car to Bardenitz/ Pechüle: From Berlin via the A 9, K246 to Beelitz, B2 towards Treuenbrietzen, L 80 to Kemnitz and L82 to Bardenitz/ Pechüle, parking facilities in Pechüler Dorfstraße, access via Zingelstraße

By car to parking lot L80 in the bend between Frankenfelde and Frankenförde: From Berlin B 101 to exit Luckenwalde/ Frankenförde; L80 towards Frankenförde; signposted parking lot in the bend between Frankenfelde and Frankenförde

Directions:

The wilderness area can be reached from Bardenitz Pechüle via Zingelstraße. The trail leads through typical pine forests, mixed forests, past former forest fires and extensive heathland. On the tour, the development of natural landscapes without human intervention becomes clear, including the natural development of former forest fire areas. From the Keilberg, the view opens up over the Baruther Urstomtal valley. A frog concert can be heard at the ponds near Frankenfelde in spring. In late summer, the heath glows purple.

If you want to take home seasonal produce from the region, the Bardenitz farm store is the place to go.
