Since 2012 the town district of Löwendorf in Trebbin has played host to this observation tower. The 21.7-metre-high tower on Löwendorfer Berg (103 metres) provides an excellent view of the surrounding landscape, all the way to the national capital Berlin and the state capital Potsdam.

The European Long-Distance Path E10 and the ‘66 Lakes Hiking Trail’ around Berlin lead from Trebbin towards Lake Blankensee in our region. If you follow the blue marking you will arrive in Löwendorf after a short but steep climb up the Löwendorfer Berg right to the new observation tower. You can also stop here at the new rest place to catch your breath before climbing the tower. At the top, small signs show visitors the direction and the distance to surrounding locations, and even to our twin town, Weil am Rhein. A box at the summit contains a summit book, where you can enter your impressions and notes.

If visitors wish to explore the region further, the idyllic Priedeltal Valley follows the descent from the Löwendorfer Berg, and then onto the town district of Blankensee, where further worthwhile destinations await. It's definitely worth a visit.
