Blankensee Castle provides a magical venue for conferences and celebrations in bright salons with views of the castle grounds, spending a few leisurely hours under the old trees in the park and relaxing in charming guest rooms. Conferences, incentives, workshops, presentations, training, summer festivals, photo shoots, weddings - Blankensee Castle is much more than a conference location.

Owners Sven V. and Michael Malmstroem, with their thirty years of experience in gastronomy, event management and the hotel trade have turned this place into a secret retreat for anyone who wants to meet and celebrate far from standardised event venues. The castle is only ever rented to one team or company. There are no parallel events at Blankensee Castle.

The establishment is run professionally, informally and in person by the hosts with lots of passion. Fresh products are bought in the day before an event. The chef prepares the dishes à la minute.

Blankensee has 16 guest rooms and one apartment with a total of up to 44 beds. The six event rooms are equipped with modern event technology. In the conference area, fast Wi-fi is available free of charge.

Blankensee Castle, also known as the Sudermann House, is a manor house. It was built between 1701 and 1740 in the Märkisch Baroque style, supposedly on the foundations of an old castle, for a Saxon District Governor (Christian von Thümen). It is in Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park near Trebbin, about 20 kilometres south of Potsdam.

The castle park designed by Prussian garden designer Peter-Joseph Lenné is an art historic gem and is worth visiting at any time of year. Writer Herrmann Sudermann, who acquired the castle in 1902, can be seen in many of the park’s details. As can his appreciation for all things beautiful and his love for Italy. He brought back a small temple, Italianate pavilions, arched bridges and numerous sculptures and busts from his travels. The park is freely accessible and adjoins the village centre of Blankensee.
