In the idyllic and densely wooded Ice Age plateau of Friesack you can walk in the footsteps of one of the oldest noble families of Mark Brandenburg: the von Bredows. Members of the von Bredow family resided in various manor houses in the Havelland region such as those in Senzke, Görne and Kleßen. The beautiful landscape garden of the Kleßen manor house has a particularly attractive layout and is highly recommended. In Kleßen you should also visit the toy museum. As you cycle through the Ice Age plateau of Friesack, you will quickly understand why the von Bredows liked living here so much. On the idyllically situated Lake Görner See, beavers build their castles and cranes can be seen flying overhead.
