The family-run campsite Himmelreich is idyllically located on a peninsula in Lake Templin. The campground belongs to the village Caputh, part of the Schwielowsee municipality. It is but a short distance from the federal capital Potsdam and the German capital Berlin.

Surrounded by the lakes and forests belonging to the nature reserve "Potsdamer Wald- und Havelseengebiet", it allows for many outdoor activities: sailing, water skiing, paddling (SUP, kayak, canoe), hiking, cycling, and many more. It is possible to rent various types of boats, SUPs, or bicycles in the immediate vicinity. Fishing permits can also be purchased in Caputh and the neighboring village Geltow.

Potsdam and Berlin offer an abundance of historically and/or culturally important sites. Both can easily be reached by train. The platform is only 700m from the reception, a walking distance of about 10 minutes.

The campsite has a large selection of pitches directly on or near the shore. There are many jetties if you wish to bring your boat. Pitches are, depending on availability, freely selectable. It offers free WIFI and modern sanitary facilities. There are also a beach volleyball court, a table tennis table, a large playground for our youngest guests, and a beach for swimming. Of course, your pet is also welcome.

The restaurant is open to the public and camping guests alike. Opening hours are published on the home page. It offers freshly cooked regional and seasonal cuisine. For camping guest, it provides freshly baked bread rolls and throughout the season it host several events.

During the holiday season, several events for young and old also take place in the surrounding area (e. g. the cable ferry’s anniversary every August).
