The church in the little village of Ferchesar at the east end of Lake Hohennauener-Ferchesarer See was built in 1735. The Baroque half-timbered church is in the middle of the village that has been a popular destination for days out and to relax for one hundred years. The current tower has a double onion roof with a double lantern.

The plastered interior with its horseshoe gallery with the winter church below is home to a wooden empire pulpit altar. It was built in 1788. It was re-gilded in 1998. One very special feature of the church is by the wall to the left of the altar: a carved altar dating from the late 15th century. Visitors are usually surprised to see two altars. The wooden, cup-shaped baptismal font is also interesting. A pearwood baptismal font painted white with a Late Gothic baptismal basin made of copper.

In 1969, the south transept of the church had to be taken down due to structural damage. The box for the nobility, which even had a fireplace, was also lost in the process. However, the church is still surrounded by the 80-year old lindens, which followed the mulberry trees dating from the time of the Prussian king. A computer-controlled bell rings out over the idyllic village of Ferchesar for church services and concerts. Since the exterior of the church was renovated, the building shines with a new glow. The interior renovation was completed in 2019.
