The little church in Wolsier is in the centre of the village on a large square. The low buildings line the village street. You can see how old the half-timbered building dating from 1754 is. The beams are deeply striated and are held together by weather-worn wooden pegs. High, arched windows are set into the walls faced with red brick and on the west side a square tower rises, encased in wooden boards. Before 1700, the village was a little further to the south. After a devastating fire in the village, it was rebuilt in its current location at the request of the lord of the manor. The current church’s bell provides information on the previous church and when it was built: It dates from 1526.

The interior is spanned by a wooden ceiling. The organ gallery extended across to the south wall. The oldest items in the church include the wooden baptismal font dating from 1707. The pulpit altar dating from 1772 was made by master carpenter Plau from Friesack keeping to simple Rococo forms; the bronze chandelier dates from 1899.
