The Schwanengraben is a public green space with a total area of 70,000 square meters, located between Bahnhofsstraße to the north and Hamburger Chaussee to the south. Of this, 40,000 square meters are forest in the western part, 27,000 square meters are the central water area, and 2,500 square meters are a green space with a walking path in the eastern section. The trench was created in 1720 and is now a popular walking path and green corridor leading towards the Döberitzer Heide. A pedestrian bridge also crosses the Schwanengraben, providing a quick connection between the residential areas on Wilhelmstraße and Seestraße. In the Schwanengraben, fish such as perch, rudd, bream, pike, and roach can be found swimming. On land, wild boar and foxes have been spotted – and even beavers in the riverbank area.
