The canoe rest area is a natural stopover site for muscle-powered boats without overnight accommodation. It is located on the left bank of the Havel River, downstream beyond Göttlin. A narrow sandy beach makes it easier to get in and out of the boat. The site is marked from the water with a sign.

The canoe rest area is located within the "Untere Havel Nord" nature reserve in the Westhavelland Nature and Star Park. Visitors are asked to observe the nature reserve regulations and leave the area clean.
