South of Forst (Lausitz) between the Neiße and Malxe rivers, a trip to the countryside is well worth it. Take a deep breath of the fresh air, let your gaze wander into the vast meadows or hike through disappearing paths in the wonderful forests of the Muskauer Faltenbogen. It's worth taking a break in the small and idyllic villages along the way. For gourmets to take home, in the season up to St. John's Day the imperial vegetables - the Preschen asparagus - are freshly picked from the field. Along the way, there are interesting vendors where it is worth booking in advance: Guided vineyard tour, handmade goat cheese, donkey hike in Groß Kölzig, guided tour of the reconstructed three-sided farm Malxehof from the 1900s.
