The ancient gnarled trunks from Prince Pueckler’s Park and primeval forest are the medium from which Thomas Schwarz creates his unique works of art. In addition, he uses exclusive woods to make elegant columns and relief works. Whether the art is figurative and realistic of abstract – the soul of the tree that gave the wood is at the heart of it. An unusual wood collection from several hundred varieties of tree and many quirky exhibits on the theme of wood make a visit to his studio a special experience.
