(Exit and entry points are available on the German side)

A small surge of water pulls boats through the fish pass on the left-hand weir into the mill race.

Please note: Access to the town of Forst (Lausitz) is via the mill race. There are four bridges here where boats need to be taken out and put back into the river. You then return to the River Neiße.

If possible, please do not take boats along this section as there are no entry and exit points along the river and there are also too many obstacles, such as old debris from blown-up bridges lying on the river bed.

Only put your boat back into the water at the entry point at the “Lange Brücke” Bridge (51.743925,14.657655).
