At Zelz the River Neiße is blocked off by a weir that it is not possible to go around. Shortly before the weir there is an entrance on the right into the Polish side and onto the canal to the Siedlec hydropower station. After approximately 800 metres it is necessary to take boats out of the water by the bridge on the Polish side. You can take a rest at the exit point and cross over the bridge to the cyclist tavern “Zum alten Zollhaus” on the German side. Portage is possible on the street alongside the river on the Polish side, 300 metres around the power station. The point where you can enter the water at a lower level is situated right behind the weir by the power station.
