This weir, which it is not possible to go through, is located directly between the two town centres of Guben on the German side and Gubin on the Polish side. On the left-hand side in front of the weir there are two floating canoe landing stages. It’s easy to get out at a rear landing stage. Boats can be pulled or rolled approximately 350 metres to the deployment site on the Neißeterrasse. Beneath the weir the current is fast and rough. There are remains of bridges in the water, though these may be invisible depending on the water level.
