The Bronze Age hill grave standing around 10 metres tall and with a width of 100 metres is the largest Bronze Age grave in Germany and, with its contents, the most important one in northern Europe. The burial chamber is located in an open field approximately two kilometres from Seddin and, due to its rich findings, is thought to be the grave of a king. The original funerary objects are on display in the Märkisches Museum in Berlin. Copies of the originals can be viewed in Perleberg Museum, the Prignitz Museum Havelberg and the Wolfshagen Castle Museum. The findings show that the Seddin clan was integrated into the European trade and communication network and existed for generations. It was the most important burial site of the 9th century B.C. in Northern Central Europe.
