The museum to celebrate the 200th birthday of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn was established in the former one-classroom school in 1978 and was expanded and redesigned after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It showcases contemporary documentation about the life history, work and creativity of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, who was born in the parsonage in the village of Lanz. He was baptised in 1778 in the neighbouring church by his father, who was the pastor in Lanz.
