Locomotive Shed II of the former Wittenberge Railway Works has been home to Brandenburg's largest railway museum since autumn 2012. The highlights of the collection are the five Reco (reconstructed) series 50.35 steam locomotives, typical for the Prignitz region. Visitors can also view the small “EMMA” factory locomotive, a heavy series 44 freight train, 13 diesel locomotives, a "rail coach” and trolley train. There is also a German Imperial Railway hospital train on show, as well as the car transport train belonging to the first GDR Government train and the "Wm” signal box built in 1909. Visitors can also get an insight into how the rail traffic employees and points operators once worked.
