The Hoffnungskirche Alt-Rüdersdorf (Hope church Alt-Rüdersdorf) is one of the oldest churches in the region, built in the 14th century and situated in a medieval churchyard surrounded by a historic fieldstone wall. The rectangular tower made of split fieldstones and the eastern extension, which serves as a winter church, characterize the appearance of the plastered hall church. The church burned down during the Thirty Years' War in 1637 and was reconsecrated 53 years later. In 1839, it received a new organ from the Potsdam organ builder Heise, which is still a highlight of the church interior today.
