Rowing boats can be rented at Lake Katharinensee, which is 12 hectares in size and up to 8 metres deep. The main fish here are pike, perch, carp, tench, eel and various species of whitefish. Particularly worthy of mention are the big chub, which are very much at home here next to the richly occurring bream, white bream, roach and rudd. When the vegetation starts to die off in autumn, the time has come for the predatory fish angler to strike. The sloping bank edges are the places where good fish turn up again and again.
