Newspapers are available and light jazz music is usually playing. There is a sunny, leafy courtyard that also offers shade and the exhibition room, where contemporary art is on display, is usually open.

The steam engine in the machine hall is the oldest steam engine in its original location in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The ‘Great Hall’ regularly hosts cultural events such as concerts, exhibitions and literary evenings.

The organisation is non-profit and is dedicated to the purposes of culture, monument protection, science and encounters. The rooms are open to people of all genders, colours, origins and ages.
