Route description

The tour starts at Storkow Castle and leads past the railroad station towards the Luchwiesen meadows near Philadelphia. A unique landscape opens up here, characterized by rare salt plants that require a high salt content in the groundwater and careful use.

The trail continues to Groß Schauen and leads along the Marstall and Burgwiesen meadows back to Storkow Castle. Along the way, several stations invite you to find out more about the salt marshes, how they were formed and how they are used today. Information boards along the route explain the importance of these habitats and their role for the regional flora and fauna.

Worth seeing:

  • Storkow (Mark): Storkow (Mark) Castle, Luchweisen nature reserve, Marstall and Burgwiesen meadows
