This tour is one of the most wooded stages, which is very varied and surrounded by a special silence. Untouched lakes in a swamp and forest landscape, but also small villages, welcome hikers on the way.

Destination: Falkenberg (Mark)

Arrival public transport: From Berlin Hauptbahnhof with the RE3 (Angermünde) to Biesenthal, then continue with the RB24 (Eberswalde) to Melchow (approx. 45 min).

Departure public transport: From Falkenberg (Mark) with the RB60 (Eberswalde) to Eberswalde, then continue with the RE3 (Lutherstadt Wittenberg) to Berlin. (about 1h)

Course: Melchow, Schönholz, Trampe, Cöthen, Falkenberg (Mark)

Directions/Fun Facts: The trail starts at Melchow station. Here you can visit a care station for wild animals. In Schönholz you will find typical Brandenburg farmhouses, which have been lovingly renovated. In Trampe there is a former castle on a spacious site. Behind the castle park next to the old excavation of Breydin Castle you will find an ideal place for breaks. Then it goes via Cöthen to Falkenberg (Mark).

  • Melchow: Care station for wild animals

  • Schönholz: Brandenburg farmhouses, Nuns' flow

  • Trampe: Castle, ruins of Brydin Castle

Road conditions/upgrading: mostly unpaved roads
