Route description

Immerse yourself in the nature of the Glubigsee chain

After arriving by regional train in Wendisch-Rietz, you head straight into the fragrant forest. After about one kilometer, a shortcut leads to the “Glubigsee circular trail”, which is marked with a yellow dot. The large Glubigsee opens up. Here on the western shore, there is a special silence. An idyllic rest area offers a small bathing spot. Perfect for cooling off in summer. It is quiet and safe to swim here, as motorboats are not permitted on the Glubigsee.

The trail continues south along the edge of a restricted military area. Don't worry about the warning signs - these are official paths! About halfway along the trail, you cross a small canal that connects the Glubigsee with the Springsee. They are part of the Glubigsee chain here in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. Fish such as perch and rudd may be spotted in the clear water. The Springsee also makes a brief appearance, glistening between the trees.

Bathing fun

The path leads north along the eastern shore on the 66-lake hiking trail and past the vacation park to another bathing area. You can jump off the large jetty or go into the water on the sandy beach.

End the tour with a fish sandwich or homemade lemonade

At the end of the tour, you can take a look at the Kleiner Glubigsee. After reaching the weekend houses and finally the road, there is a hidden access to the lake on the left. The benches and jetty offer a beautiful view. An excursion restaurant on a small peninsula can be seen in the distance. Water lilies bloom on the water, fishing boats are moored on the jetty and a house with a thatched roof is reminiscent of the Baltic Sea.

The Fisch-Haus am See not only serves delicious fish dishes. You can also take a fish sandwich home with you. Alternatively, Wendisch Rietz offers homemade cakes and lemonade. The Atelier Café has an idyllic garden in front of the old school.
