The "Strohhaus Neuzelle" straw house offers insights into the life of the former servants at Neuzelle monastery. It is a true gem among the museums in the state of Brandenburg. The straw house consists of a parlour chamber with bed corner, a workshop and a pantry. The black kitchen with chimney forms the centre of the house. This is where the food for people and animals was prepared over an open fire.

The house is under monument protection and can be visited. Household goods and tools are exhibited in the museum courtyard. The building's value lies in its original structure and the arrangement of the rooms dating back to the time of its construction.

Guided tours can be arranged if you book in advance.

Additional opening hours: The straw house is open on public holidays.
