Lake Großer Glubigsee is part of the Glubigseen lake chain and it is fed by the upstream lakes such as Grubensee and Springsee. 88 percent of the land around the lake is forested. The bathing area at Lake Großer Glubigsee is located in a holiday park at its southern tip, and it features a jetty system and swimmers can also dive into the water.
