The little and tranquilly located forest lake is one of a number of long and narrow lakes surrounding the Blumenthal settlement. The natural bathing area at Lake Blumenthalsee features a sandy beach between reed areas and space for sunbathing.

Access is provided via the settlement site of Blumenthal to the north-east of the site on the B168, between Prötzel and Lake Tiefensee. Parking is available along the settlement site. By the way: the ‘Blumenthal’ woodland was even mentioned by Fontane.
