The Bomsdorf estate park impresses with centuries-old oaks, copper beeches, silver poplars and ash trees as well as idyllic ponds that give it the atmosphere of an enchanted forest. Winding paths lead through the protected park to the burial site of the last village owners. The park unfolds its special atmosphere especially in spring, autumn and winter.

Bomsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1310 and was the ancestral seat of the Knights of Bomsdorf. The manor house, also known as the ‘castle’, was built in 1731 and extensively renovated in 1999. The farm buildings, built from fieldstone around 1700, were also lovingly restored. The estate park borders directly on the manor house and blends harmoniously into the hilly surroundings.

Year of construction: mid-18th century

How to get there:

By car: A 12 to Frankfurt (Oder)-Mitte, continue on the B 112 to behind Neuzelle, then turn right to Bomsdorf

By train: RE 1 to Frankfurt (Oder), continue on RB 11 to Neuzelle, then bus to Bomsdorf

Guided hikes are available on request.
