The visitor center of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park (BIZ) is located at Storkow Castle (Mark) and presents the natural and cultural history of the region on three levels.

In the permanent exhibition “GRUNDverschieden - Von staubtrocken bis pitschenass”, visitors can discover six favorite corners of the nature park. The habitat types of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park and their special or typical inhabitants are presented in walk-in cabinets with many elements to touch and discover. Visitors are also given tips and recommendations on where to find these habitats in the nature park so that they can perhaps see some of the animals and plants in person.

In the area of the visitor center, the tourist information in the regional store invites visitors to browse and the staff provide numerous tips for excursions. Selected products from regional producers are a nice souvenir of the visit.

Since 2018, the BIZ has also had an insect paradise garden outside. In addition to various flower beds, the 1200 square meter garden also features an insect hotel, a wildflower meadow, a willow pavilion for events and a barefoot path.

You can indulge in culinary delights in the Burgstübchen before the nature park awaits nature lovers with great cycling and hiking routes.

All areas of the BIZ are barrier-free (for wheelchairs, walkers and baby carriages). Elevator, disabled WC, changing table available
