The quarry lake in Maust is a former gravel bit and it is 21 hectares big. It is located between the village Maust and the artificial lake Cottbuser Ostsee that is currently being created. The little lake is a DAV (German Angling Association) water in the Peitzer Land region. This means that fishing is permitted with a fishing permit and to cardholders of the angling association of Brandenburg. Further information is available at the Peitzer Land tourist information centre.
