While tourists in many other regions are happy to have even a single lake, visitors to the Uckermark can enjoy countless bodies of water. A number of viewpoints on this tour of the area south of Prenzlau will prove this point. Near Potzlow there is the six-lakes-viewpoint and five bodies of water can be seen near Fergitz. There is nothing like enjoying a picnic amidst these amazing views. The surprisingly hilly landscape also helps to make this tour a great adventure in nature.

There is nothing that could disturb cyclists while watching the local flora and fauna. Ospreys and white-tailed eagles are circling above meadows covered in flowers such as wild orchids and globe flowers. Even the special call of the Great Bittern can be heard, because of which the bird is also known as “moor ox”. Just like otters, which also live here, Great Bitterns can only be found in fully intact natural environments.
