For her porcelain painting work, Annette Zieber needs white porcelain, paints (in powder form) which are mixed with a special oil, brushes, special painting oil and a kiln. The painted porcelain pieces are fired at least twice at 800 °C. The paint penetrates the porcelain and the painted item cools down in the kiln for many hours. That's when the made-to-order item is ready.
