Embedded in the hilly Uckermark landscape in the small municipality of Rosenow lies the studio of artist Sybille Eckhorn. Since the 1960s, she has alternated between Berlin and Uckermark. The landscape there fascinated her from the very first moment.

When Sybille Eckhorn is not in Uckermark (or Berlin), she tends to go to La Palma - especially in the winter months. Some of her works are on permanent display at the Museo Insular on the island in the Canaries. What she appreciates most there is the climate and the light. In spring, summer and autumn, she prefers to spend her time in Rosenow. In particular, she finds inspiration in nature and the interplay of colours throughout the seasons.

Sybille Eckhorn’s artistic work encompasses several fields, such as painting, sculpture and objects. Many of her colourful pictures and objects, which are sometimes bizarre, have been shown at many international exhibitions and can be viewed in Rosenow.

The artist gladly welcomes guests who want to stay for a few days.
