Lakes for a cool dip into the wet
As soon as the sun is out - the bathing season is opened. As we say „Get your bathing suit“ and off you go to Brandenburg! On a hot summers day there are many lakes and lidos in nature. Sunscreen and bathing towel are a constant add on. And then – just do it – jump into the cooling water!
Not only the big clearwater-lakes such as the Stechlin or the Werbellin-Lake have very good water-quality. Also the smaller lakes offer crystal-clear swimming fun. Who likes it quiet, will find secluded bays to simply relax and watch time go by. Lidos with playgrounds and slides offer a fantastic summer-break for the whole family – the choice is yours.
The quality of the bathing water is checked annually at the start of the bathing season. Most lakes are labelled ‘excellent’ and ‘good’. We Brandenburgers do everything we can to keep it that way. That's a promise!
