Start/Finish: Schorfheide-Info Joachimsthal, via Eichhorst and Altenhof

Markings/logo: short leg green dot, red bar

Junctions: 66 - 50 - 49 - 98 - 41 - 50 - 66

Route description: The tour can start from Joachimsthal, Eichhorst or Altenhof. You cycle from Joachimsthal on the Berlin - Usedom cycle path to Eichhorst. From here, you continue on along a small forest road to Altenhof. As the tour runs along a very busy road from Altenhof to Joachimsthal, we recommend taking the gravel path through the forest from Altenhof by Lake Bugsine to Althüttendorf. You pass through the centre of the village and then go along the meadow path via the asphalted cycle path around Griebnitzsee Lake back to Joachimsthal. There is also the option of taking a Reederei Wiedenhöft boat (bicycle carriage available) from the landing stages in Joachimsthal, Altenhof, Süßer Winkel, and Spring to change course and enjoy part of the tour right by Lake Werbellinsee (please book in advance at telephone: +49 171 / 54 26 867).

Points of interest and background information: Lake Werbellinsee, Ascanian tower, Altenhof promenade and Fontaneplatz, passenger boat cruises on Lake Werbellinsee, BIORAMA viewing platform, Kaiserbahnhof Station, Kaiserrundweg

Trail conditions: signposted, asphalt/forest path

Recommended maps: Rad- und Wanderkarte Schorfheide mit Finowkanal und Angermünde vom Pharusplan-Verlag, 1:42.000, 5. Auflage 2021, ISBN: 978-3-86514-142-2, price: Euro 5
