The cycle path, which is largely undisturbed by traffic, runs through the landscape defined by the Ice Age around Griebnitzsee Lake. Cyclists are rewarded with particularly beautiful views of the lake. The easy course of the tour and interesting rest stops and viewpoints in the area and along the route promise a carefree round trip.

How to get there: NEB RB 63 from Eberswalde or Templin, RE 3 and RB 24 from Berlin, car via the A11 motorway, bicycle via the Usedom cycle path

Route description: The tour starts at Kaiserbahnhof Station in Joachimsthal and leads to the sighs of the Schorfheide town. Then it continues on past Griebnitzsee Lake to Althüttendorf as far as the nature observation point and on to Neugrimnitz. You cycle back along the path on the north side of Griebnitzsee Lake, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Sights: Kaiserbahnhof Station, BIORAMA viewing platform with a magnificent panoramic view of the landscape defined by the Ice Age, Brunold monument, Schinkel church, town hall, Kurfürstenbrunnen fountain, sculpture gardens, bee show garden and memorial stone, hikers’ church and Germanic goddesses of destiny, nature observation point, Orgel Böhli’s glockenspiel

Trail conditions: signposted, field and forest path/paving/asphalt/cycle path
