Location:

Our two rental stations are located in Zerpenschleuse, Brandenburg and Liebenwalde, directly on the nearly 400 year old Langer Trödel (the oldest operating man-made waterway in Germany) also known to many as the Finow Canal. We are located in Brandenburg in the Barnim Nature Park, on the edge of the Schorfheide Biosphere Reserve (World Heritage Site), one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Germany.

From Berlin-Mitte you can reach us in less than an hour by car. Or you can take the Heidekrautbahn from Berlin via Wandlitz directly to Zerpenschleuse. The station in Liebenwalde is only 10 minutes away from Zerpenschleuse by car and is also easy to reach by train and bus via Nassenheide.

The Lange Trödel is an approx. 8 km long section / FFH area (abbreviation for Fauna-Flora-Habitat area) of the Finow Canal between Liebenwalde and Zerpenschleuse.

Cast off at Langer Trödel:

As soon as you start paddling, you will be accompanied by swans, wild ducks, coots, herons and many more. After a few minutes of relaxed paddling, you are surrounded by fields and forests and can enjoy the absolutely quiet nature to the fullest.

Often kingfishers playfully accompany the paddlers through the beautiful protected area.

The rustic wild nature offers you enough shade and a pleasantly cool breeze on the water even in hot temperatures.

The beaver is settled here and you will become an eyewitness of its castles and logging work.

If you have a fishing license (DAV - waters), you can also fish from the canoe. Geocaching on the Lange Trödel is also very popular.

Ahoy and always a hand's breadth of water around the keel, says your canoe rental TiBo
