The small cobblestone church with the angular wooden tower is in the centre of the village of Chorin. It was built in the second half of the 13th century and rebuilt and converted in 1688 but the wood-panelled tower was only added in the 18th century. The church is a rectangular cobblestone hall. When the church was renovated in the 17th century, the window was enlarged to include an arch. Because of the shape of the window in the east gable, it is assumed that there was originally a clay ceiling and not the beam ceiling there today, dating from 1688.
