In large parts of rural Brandenburg, the building material "fieldstone" characterises the village and landscape as a cultural and historical heritage of past building and living culture. The value of the fieldstone buildings warrants complex measures for the preservation and future design of the fieldstone buildings and complexes.

The exhibition showcases the fieldstone, its appearance as well as utilisation, on 16 large tarpaulins: The creation of the boulders; granite quarrying and processing; religious, residential and farm buildings; walls and cobblestone streets as well as granite sculptures.
