Barnim Nature Park offers incomparable hiking opportunities. The landscape defined by the Ice Age is full if variety. Over half of the nature park is forested, but lakes, kettleholes and streams also characterise the natural landscape north of Berlin. The hiking tour passes a total of six lakes. Numerous natural bathing areas invite you to swim and linger for a while.

How to get there:

Go to Biesenthal train station and then take bus 909 to Lanke (Obersee stop). From Biesenthal take bus 909 to the train station and then take the RE3 to Berlin central station.

Route: Lanke, Pegnitzfließ, Lake Strehlesee, Prenden, Lake Bauersee, Biesenthal

Route description: The tour runs from Lanke past Lake Obersee to Pegnitzfließ. It then continues on to Lake Strehlesee. Shortly after Prenden, you come to Lake Bauersee and Lake Mittelprendener See. After Sophienstädt comes Lake Eiserbuder See. Lake Bukowsee is next. After the rest area at Pöhlitzbrück, it is not far to Biesenthal. You pass the Wehrmühle fortified mill to Kaiser-Friedrich tower. The tour ends at the market square in Biesenthal.
